in every portuguese land ther´s a joão de deus street, this person was from barrocal, s.bartolomeu de messines, algarve and studied in coimbra for ten years from 1849-59, he studied law and later he invented his metod to teach, he created the joão de deus fling school that wented from land to land alphabetizing portuguese people. in portugaal there´s stil many joão de deus schools
